  1. That picture with Charles Michel and the media gang is priceless.

  2. So sad to see Germany not present there.

We used to have a formidable fleet of reactors and excellent technological Know-how not too long ago.

    All destroyed for hysterical ideology.

  3. Is there somewhere you can place bets on how many reactors will actually be built in the next ten years?

Currently the world is deploying 1GW of renewables *per day*. Battery storage is not far behind. While these people talk about how great nuclear is, renewables are going to eat them for lunch.

  4. >Let’s waste tax payer money on a dying industry

  5. Imagine going to war with Russia while having a lot of nuclear power plant…

A madman like Putin would just send a rocket into each of them and with a cost of around 100 rockets all Europe will be defeated!

It’s only a matter of time until Putin or other madman actually does that.

And now let’s see lots of people claiming that all of them were built with such security standards that they will withstand that too.

  6. Interestingly it coincided with the navy suit world championships.

  7. And that is why Vučić was paroting that Serbia needs to build nuclear plant. Look him he is even on left side of Von Der Leyen.

  8. if this summit only has beautiful image but will be like EU help to Ukraine then …

  9. Excellent. I realise the irony as our government are total morons when it comes to nuclear.

  10. I agree with nuclear, but let me quickly point to Portugal and its renewables.

  11. Miss Leyen you have trojan horse on your right and behind second left.

  12. Never forget: It was Belgiums grand plan to replace all nuclear power plants with gas power plants. It was stupid back then and its flatout denied right now. Im so glad were changing course now….

  13. Anyone interested should look up thorium. Both India and China are researching it heavily. There’s a problem in lining a liquid salt reactor, we don’t have a durable enough technology at the moment, but if that hurdle is overcome, it could power the world.
It’s important to understand that Bill Gates is invested in competing technology, so he is busy destroying thorium research as best he can. Particularly in the US.

  14. if they manage waste free & save nuclear energy, we’re good

  15. [https://www.rosalux.de/en/news/id/50972/uranium-mining-is-a-disaster-for-niger](https://www.rosalux.de/en/news/id/50972/uranium-mining-is-a-disaster-for-niger)

Currently, uranium mining is a disaster for Niger. It is an economic and ecological disaster, because the uranium is mined in an uncontrolled way. One can even speak of a crime against humanity. If further mining means that pollution will continue as before, then it is better to stop.

“**Almoustapha Alhacen** began working in the Arlit uranium mine in 1978. When he realized that many of his colleagues were becoming mysteriously ill, he founded the NGO Aghirin’man in 2000, a partner organization of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, which criticized the conditions of uranium mining. He was ultimately fired in 2015.”

For 40 years, French firms have been extracting uranium ore in the heart of the Sahara. But instead of benefiting, local communities in Niger have suffered in misery…

  16. One of Macron’s tax initiatives nearly destroyed my dad’s business, and yet he still seems to be one of the few leaders who resides in reality, realizes what is important, and takes steps to improve and progress instead of just resisting the devolution the far right has achieved like in the anglo-saxon sphere

  17. Nuclear energy is the future and it is the cleanest and most efficient energy mankind has ever discovered.

  18. A nuclear-armed nation is a healthy and secured nation.

  19. Germany Bashing in 3 2 1…
    Nvm it’s already here 🙁

  20. If they can fit those guys in an atom, does that mean they’re in the quantum realm?
