The difference in political priorities across UK

  1. Lovely post. We are the same people with the same values. ❤️

  2. Is the reason that immigration is a bigger issue to English people because they have a higher population density?

  3. I wonder how different our graph would be if we actually had a decent Scottish news media reporting on Scottish issues.

  4. Nice to see Scots caring about climate change.

    That’s the actual biggest issue.

  5. Very very similar for all four actually. Quite surprising.

  6. England is more right wing that the rest of the U.K. FACT

  7. Politicians say they have to act against immigrants because that’s what the electorate demands.

Neglecting to admit the electorate are in no small way worried about this *because* the politicians keep bigging it up as a massive problem.

  8. Top priority for everyone: Cost of Living.

    Tories opening manifesto speech:

“The people have spoken, and we’ve once again listened. We will ensure that apple will now be tax exempt for the remainder of this millenium. Oh, and we fixed the cost of living crisis, look the graph is going up! Don’t you feel richer? I know I do!”

  9. These kind of polls are silly. Human beings have broadly the same concerns the world over. Health, provide for our families, security for our communities etc.

Where we differ is how we think such issues should be approached. For example a right wing person may try and reduce crime by jailing more criminals. A left wing person may try and fix the root social causes of crime. They both are concerned with crime however.

  10. Cost of living … doesn’t help we are taxed higher than anywhere else. Jobs and growth, snp can’t stress any companies to Scotland

  11. Housing not top despite it being the cause or amplifier of every economic woe we have lol

  12. Top priority the same but all 4 doing nothing about it

  13. Sort Climate change and every other issue falls into place, walkable cities are cheaper to maintain and help with peoples cost of living. NHS waiting lists are a basic of any society but nationalising that along with other vital services will help build the economy again (be real the NHS hasn’t been public for over a decade now). Crime and policing is caused mostly by hunger issues or housing issues so make food and housing cheaper with more abundant gardening and invest in recycled materials for building houses in new and innovative ways. Social care for the old can be taken care of if we have cheaper living costs.
