  2. I mean he was an adult technically but it was a 42 year old woman in a position of power over a barely 18 year old when they started a relationship that weirds me out more than the “age gap”

    There’s definitely some weirdos obsessed with why he didn’t pick a “hotter younger women” which is just sexism.

    But if their happy now then who cares they’ve been married for like 15 years

    Sounds like his parents neglected him if this is true and he needed a new mom to take care of him. I don’t blame him, but his wife crossed an ethical line. A creep is a creep regardless of gender.

  8. The age difference wouldn’t be a big deal if they met *now*. But 42 and 18? Creepy. And she was directing him which adds an inappropriate power dynamic. He was barely more than a kid.

    It’s obviously working out for them now, but that doesn’t make it not creepy for it to start the way it did.

  9. I got divorced when I was 42. I was not going to let someone toss me to the side, lol. I was at a friends football party and met a great 26 year man. We hit it off and it was a great one night stand that lasted 7 years. I ruined the entire relationship because I was so caught up on the age thing. I often wonder if we would have worked out. He never cared about the age difference. It was me that could not get past it.

That means you had horrible fucking parents. If the genders were reversed people would be losing their shit, Aaron is a victim just as a woman would’ve been in his situation, I just hope he’s doing well.

  21. He met his wife in 2008. He was a senior in high school. I can’t imagine being attracted to a senior in high school as a 41 year old. A 41 year old with a 12 year old kid then dating an 18 year old.

  26. My wife was an emancipated minor and married with a child at 16. Age is a poor estimate for maturity and some folks progress through the stages of life faster. This has more to do with Hollywood devaluing women over 35.

  35. I’ve worked with these 2 on A Million Little Pieces , her directing him, and I can say first hand they are an incredible couple, and very much in love.

  36. Americans think that only their definition of society is valor. The disturbing part is that one. They were both adults, they love each other and things have worked out since they are together for 15 years.

  39. I mean at this point everyone is above the legal age and unless something comes out about an actual inappropriate relationship while he was underage then let them be.

  40. They’ve been together 15 years. He’s grown now and he’s hot af, he could have left any time he felt like it. The truth appears to be that these two people are deeply in love despite what anyone has to say about the age gap. Let it go.

I mean they’ve been together for soooo long at this point, if it was truly a toxic situation and doomed for failure due to the age difference the marriage would’ve ended a longgggg time ago, or at least we’d be hearing rumors of it. Instead they seem to be happily in loved and raising some kids pretty well. Maybe it’s time for the internet to move on from hyper fixating on it since it happened like almost twenty years ago. Just my opinion tho
