40% of our agricultural land is to grow feed for beef. That’s a lot of runoff. That’s a lot of water used. That’s a lot of bovine sewage to treat.
Meanwhile, beans are a far superior source of protein for health and longevity, and take a tiny fraction of the land and water to produce just as many calories as beef.
