Crazy that an Algerian man has been here for 5 months claiming asylum when it is a country not at war and pretty safe by all accounts.
Should have been turned away when he got here, sorry if that sounds heartless but we need to remove the scammers.

Weird that the title says that the security guard was ‘suspended’ and not ‘arrested’. Hopefully the man who was assaulted is doing ok and does not have any lifelong injuries.
I am not defending the security guard, but I am not a fan of strongly judging as situation without all the information.I would like to see the couple of minutes before the assault and what happened. As well, as the couple of minutes after. So as to get a better view of the whole situation.
Did the guy pull a weapon beforehand or something, did he do something like bite someone.
It will all come out in the investigation.
The force was disproportionate that is undebatable , but it’s worth knowing what caused it.

If it was three “asylum seekers” aka brown people laying into a white person there would be a full on riot no matter the context or what happened preceding the video
If the lad was some form of threat before the video started, there were at least a dozen ways they could have restrained him fully from how they had him in the video.
If he was being combative to the restraint, then another dozen ways they could have used pain that would not cause lasting harm.
