What are you thoughts on Pedri this season?

  1. Nothing to judge really as he wasn’t able to perform to his best level because of fitness and injuries this season. Hopefully he returns strong and they also don’t rush him immediately after he returns.
Let’s pray they don’t do the same thing to Yamal and Cubarsi.

  2. very bad, too many injuries, hasn’t reached peak form at all

  3. This season he was great but if we leave him alone, let him recover, limit his minutes and have him fully ready for next season, he will be the best midfielder in the world.

  4. If anyone says he needs to be sold, I swear we’ll put him on dark web, sell him/her and donate the money to Barca.

  5. gives the midfield the creativity we need; lacks physicality/stamina and way too injured for any of us to watch him :/. something needs to change in our fitness regimen and medical team

  6. Not much but always good when available, hopefully for a coming year he develops some injury resistance

  7. Hope he can get back to his best. Hope he can stay injury free and pickup some consistency. The guys young so hopefully this is just him needing a break. Hope he doesnt go to the olympics or euros tbh. Itd be a good time for him to just take a break until next season and even miss pre season.

  8. Showed this season that injuries will likely be a story within his career.
Would be top 5 in the world if fit. But looks more and more to be in line for a Dembele/Robben career.

Thanks again Koeman…and spanish FA i guess

  9. Hasn’t had much continuity due to injuries. Also when available, his role changes constantly. Still productive though. Despite not playing much, rivals Cancelo in chances created this season. Has the second highest key passes per game after Gundo. Has more assists so far than last season. The season isn’t over yet, and a few games can change perception quickly. No definitive conclusions can be made until it’s over.

  10. His breakout season ended up breaking him down the line.

That being said, the incompetence of our medical staff has to be questioned. I know Dembele has barely been a PSG player for a complete season, however, he seems to be physically fine and in consistently top shape. It should also be noted that the French league is a more physically dominant/reliant league. No problems from him there tho.

Pedri is still physically developing and I believe his injuries are more of a combination of overplaying and terrible luck than him being in the same category Dembele was in regarding injuries when he was still with us. The good thing is the club is aware of this situation and any future actions involving Pedri regarding playing time and load management should be carefully managed. I believe 100% he’ll come out of this, it’s not like he’s wasting his best years yet. The potential is there and so is the ability most of the time, it would be foolish to sell him.

  11. Let him recover, bench him to get him some more muscles and manage his minutes. Could reduce injury and make him better for us

  12. Can we just rest him?
Let man eat some vitamin C rich foods along with mutton bone broths . I know we have too many injuries in mid but i would still choose to rest him

  13. Injuries suck. That’s really all there is to say, he hasn’t been consistently fit enough to judge his season on the pitch.

  14. He was very good when he played I think the “sell pedri” narrative is idiotic I say give him 1 or 2 seasons if the injuries don’t go away you just have no choice but to swallow the bitter pill Still there are players who I prefer not to name who should leave before him

  15. I think he’s been good in the moments he’s been healthy. He hasn’t been up to normal pedri standards sure, but he offers so much composure in the midfield when he plays there’s a lot more control in the middle. Not to mention his creativity. You can pass this guy the ball with 4 defenders around him and somehow he’ll find a way out. My fav player to watch on this team for sure, hoping for a speedy recovery and for him to leave these injuries in the past, plenty of players have been in situations like him and were able to get past those streaks of injuries so I have strong faith pedri will be alright.

  16. I swear xavi only became a starter at 24, pedri’s career didn’t even start yet

  17. We need to just prolong his recovery even if he is well, to make him take a rest.

I wouldnt mind if he missed the Euros as well

  18. Walking future failed potential.

His fitness just isn’t up to par for a world class starter. Hate me if you want but it’s the truth. He has the skills to be world class but will never get there due to his fitness. He’s peak age for fitness yet looks 41 when he runs around. I’d sell him before it is revealed and his value plummets.

Quote me on this in the future.

I wrote this comment before he got injured in the same game: https://www.reddit.com/r/Barca/s/JtL1ejCfaw

  19. Not what barca needs now, we need direct plays type of players, fermin did good so far doing that, the problem with pedri he would look like a top 3 world class if he was under pep,but sadly barca isn’t that now.

  20. Why does he run like a 35 yo. The man needs a rigorous fitness regiment.

  21. He needs to be benched more, I don’t know why we expect a 21 year old to be in charge of the midfield of a club like Barca.

  22. One of my favourite players. I get excited every time I watch him; he’s just so effortlessly smooth.
