  1. Apple’s just taking L’s all over the place right now. EU forcing them to adopt USB-C instead of using their proprietary cables, opening up the App Store to competitors, allowing different browser engines… and today it was announced the DoJ is going after them in an anti-trust case.

  2. There is no mention of this anywhere apart from the attached article, and even the paragraph-long article relies on a single tweet to accuse Apple of removing the app at Russia’s direction. It wouldn’t make sense that Apple would remove it at Russia’s behest. What does Apple have to gain from Russia? If you had said China, I might have understood. But even then, there would be more reporting on Apple’s actions though.

  3. Apple helped crack down on protests in China by CCPs request. There is no mussolini they will not bow down to.

  4. Apple used to be easy to use. You basically plug it in and go. It’s turned into Microsoft. Nothing syncs,
Nothing works right—its AIRl assistant is stuck in the dark ages; its technology just apes itself and it’s a monopoly. So sad it’s regressing to the mean. It was once a great innovator.

  5. Shouldn’t we be sanctioning these fucks? Not appeasing the little dictator?

  6. Why is Apple doing business in RU? If a business doesn’t do business in a country they don’t need to listen to them.

  7. We can all hate on Apple, but let’s not think hate this behavior is exclusive to them. Corporations like these have no loyalty to any moral or values, just money.

  8. Makes me a bit glad that I don’t own any Apple products anyway.

  9. This is the currently the only article on the topic.

I’m not saying it’s false; occasionally, one source gets the scoop first.

Just don’t automatically believe everything on the internet. I’d give this a day or so before getting super mad at Apple.

  10. If Trump had such an App, I would hope that Apple would take it down as well… and most redditor would be fine with it as well

  11. Apple is an example of a company that has become too big for its own good. It has completely lost any sense of moral obligation for the sake of growth and corporate profits/greed.
