Well done to our brave and intrepid gardaí for managing to arrest someone a mere eighteen months after the event.
Always wondered when this story was going to come out. I assumed the Gardaí have been working away on the investigation for the last 17 months to get to this point.
I hope the families who lost people in this tragedy get some kind of explanation, closure, and justice if appropriate.
Ive trouble understanding how 2 people can be arrested under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997 for an offense in connection to the death of 10 people.
Probably badly named legislation but it just confuses the mind.
If the men are found guilty of negligence which lead to the ten deaths, they should be civil actions taken.
