  1. Yeah but.. uh.. 2017 was before AI girlfriends. I’m sure the % looks way better now.

  2. Nihilism and atheism are two different things. If you need a god to somehow prove to yourself your life has subjective purpose, you are objectively a weak ass bitch

  3. Posted by a catholic fundamentalist Pole. Where is your PISS badge, OP?

  4. At least we don’t live in “Poland”, let’s all celebrate that

  5. Virgin nihilist: life has no pourpose, we don’t matter, we are meaningless

Chad atheist: life has no pourpose by itself, which means I have the freedom to chose what the pourpose of my life is

  6. If you fill that void with religion instead of actually seeking for purpose you just waste you life. Religion just stops you from even starting that path

  7. I notice that the more secular Scandinavian countries scores lower than Papist kiddie-fiddlers and their anglican cousins.

See the light of based Lutheran atheism; find meaning.

  8. Well we have to handle the product of thousands of years of people NOT dealing with reality.
Inheriting problems of the religious is quite the barrel to chug.

  9. I guess religious people can’t distinguish correlation from causation

  10. It’s not atheism that caused this, it’s capitalism.

  11. If anything my Atheism shows me that I must try and enjoy this life as much as possible as it’s most likely the only one I have left.

Also it’s pretty chill life has no meaning, otherwise most of us are disappointingly bad at life. Just enjoy the time you’re able to live and don’t sweat it if you’re going through a rough period.

All of this seems much better than to follow arbitrary rules only to end up as the same lifeless body as the rest of us. Living only to be scammed by other people filling and their pockets and diddling kids doesn’t really seem that great compared to not believing.

  12. Least catholic Pole. Good for you if you have a higher purpose, meanwhile we enjoy life.
How my (somewhat racist) grand-father always told : Pollink, Polacke, Mol Schisse mol Schasse… no I wouldn’t translate that.

  13. “His face still in shadow, Rieux said that he’d already answered: that if he believed in an all-powerful God he would cease curing the sick and leave that to Him. But no one in the world believed in a God of that sort; no, not even Paneloux, who believed that he believed in such a God. And this was proved by the fact that no one ever threw himself on Providence completely. Anyhow, in this respect Rieux believed himself to be on the right road – in fighting against creation as he found it.”

    -Albert Camus.

  14. Don’t worry, WW3 will get those numbers back in check.

  15. I’m quite comfortable living in unanchored ambiguity, but it took years of intense self-questioning and reading to get here.

I do think we have so far failed to establish a suitable substitute for god. Secular humanism, perhaps? Some sort of pantheistic philosophy with a nod toward realism ???

  16. Nah it’s end game capitalism and the cost of living crisis that’s caused this

  17. Nothing to do with religion, what made our lives meaningless is the end of the cycle of wars between France and the United Kingdom. What’s the point in living if I can’t slaughter any tea-sipping disgusting Britton before heroically dying on a warship sunk by the HMS Victory (or whichever insufferable name the island monkeys came up with) ?

  18. Is this bad? I remember when north ireland was filled with lots of “religious purpose”.

  19. Life has no meaning, this leaves you with unlimited potential.

    Camus (sort of)

  20. Bulgaria: 4.7% atheist, 69.7% Orthodox

    Greece: ~4% atheist, 90% Orthodox

    Romania: 0.3% atheist, 73.8% Orthodox

    Clearly it’s the atheism…

  21. Combination of being both atheist AND a French, hurts the most. I can’t imagine why..

  22. Finnland, one of the most atheist countries in the world is the most happy country on earth.

  23. On a serious note, who the fuck thinks that religion is a true reason behind all this? Shitty healthcare, low wages, increased number of social policies coupled with money printing = shit buying power. Tell me more about abandoning religion, when I couldn’t afford my flat without parents help due to a pointless monetary decisions.

    Delusional fucks.

  24. Yet people from über-religious shitholes still want to move here. Weird.

  25. I find meaning in life not through scriptures or religion as a whole but through community and satisfaction both personal and the one of my family and friends.

  26. Atheism didnt promise anything. It has noone to speak for it
