  1. Well played, sir. Whether the US made the demand or not, they are boxed in now.

Remember what happened to the last president who tried to pressure Ukraine in return for US aid.

  2. *Ukraine hits RuZZia with drones*

RuZZia: “Stop hitting me! *That’s a red line!!!*”

Me munching on popcorn: “That’s a damn shame. /s”

    *Ukraine hits RuZZia with drones*

    Me: *munch, munch, munch*

  3. I kind of hope it’s like “Ukraine, plz stop. Oh, you won’t? Sorry russia, we tried.”

P.S. Send Ukraine more of everything.

  4. i usually disregard stories like this if I cannot find names of actual people in them.

  5. I just commented on another post I hoped the original story was a misinformation campaign. This gives me hope.

  6. Keep them burning! I really don’t care about higher gas prices.

  7. As an American: Good. Idgaf if I pay a few cents more a gallon. GO GET THEM. Blow up all their shit.

  8. Good. Ukraine should tell the US to fuck off until it starts being in their side again.

  9. I still haven’t seen any official U.S. statement. I still think this was all Ruzzian misinformation.

  11. The article which launched this as no source at all and all the others use this article as source. Media these days…

  12. Biden needs to go back to eating applesauce and quit telling Ukraine what they can’t do.

  13. For those who didn’t read the article, the denies in the title is Ukraine denying the request was made, not refusing the request.

    > Ukraine did not receive calls from the United States to cease attacks on Russian oil refineries, according to the advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak. Earlier, the media reported on Washington’s alleged request to Kyiv.

  14. Ukraine is denying that the U.S. even asked them to stop attacking oil refineries. Not that the U.S asked and they said no.

The headline isn’t clear but that’s what the article implies.

  15. The amount of hate and vitriol that comes out of people that don’t read the entire story or wait for official sources is insane. The misinformation in the previous article already did what it was deigned to do sow dissent and it did that well reading the comments in the other thread.

The amount of people that took that at face value and will never see this shows how harmful this actually is.

  16. This whole thing smacked of a Russian disinformation campaign designed specifically to sow animosity between the us and ukraine, specifically the civilian populations.

Russia is desperate. They are trying to buy up our politicians all over the west, sow discord between friends and allies, and a massive misinformation campaign designed to keep the rubes stupid and angry and embrace nazism.

The faster Ukraine can cause the collapse of Putin’s government, the better life will start getting across the entire western world.

  17. It was such a fucking stupid request so it makes sense to just say the request never happened, then to have to make statement after statement and having the appearance of tensions between both parties.

It was a stupid request. It should have never happened, especially after the most recent attack against UA’s cities. If anything, aid should be increased significantly (won’t happen) and the US mocked for saying something so damn stupid with a bloody war going on.

  18. Good for Ukraine. I wouldn’t have even bothered to respond, pretending to have never heard the request. And in all honesty, these discussions should NOT be public.

  19. Figured. That FT article had absolutely no credibility.

  20. Sounds like everyone here was being told Russian Disinformation

  21. Anyone who believes the US asked them to halt these strikes is a moron.

  22. If only Ukraine had enough drones and planning in place for another mass strike tonight!

  23. There was no request, the whole thing was a blown up clickbait article, quoting some random guy who is not representing “the US”.

  24. Partially it smells like Christopher Miller made up some shit again to further ruzzian propaganda.
