I reckon this happens far more often than people realise. My father-in-law passed a few weeks ago. Police had to break down his door after reports from neighbours that he hadn’t been seen for a while. The guy always had at least £100 on him at all times. He also had a jar of £2 coins on his window sill – probably a couple of hundred pounds worth.
By the time we got the keys the jar was empty and the wallet was returned with fuck all in it. We were the first people in after the police. Cunts.
