  1. The USA warned them but Putin called it a “western attempt to destabilize Russia”

  2. Well I mean at least the west has one thing in common with Russia which is the fact that ISIS would love to see both places burn to the ground.

But then again I guess isis would love to see all of civilization burn to the ground…

  3. >The ISIS terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack in Russia, according to a short statement published by ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram on Friday.

That means Putin can’t blame this on Ukraine.

  4. ISIS claim responsibility for a lot of things…

Let’s say it is them and not a Putin Chechnya special, I’m assuming this is because of Russia’s support for the Assad regime.

  5. After everything that happened in the past few years, a large-scale ISIS comeback is the last thing the world needs now 🙄

  6. ISIS will claim responsibility for a car backfiring if it scares enough people.

Not saying it wasn’t them, but they’ve been known to falsely claim attacks as their own IIRC.

  7. Makes sense.

    – It’s the holy month of Ramadan and Islamists typically ramp up their attacks during this month.

    – Wagner forces are fighting Islamists in Mali.

    – A lot of Russian Caucasians have been called up for the war in Ukraine. So lots of available people who have weapons experience, access to weapons and the motive to attack the Russian government. Arguably this will also create resentment against Muscovites who have so far largely avoided being drafted.

    – Russia has also began the steps to mobilise more men, and presumably a lot more people from the Caucuses.

Lots of different factors that influence the motivation and likelihood for Islamist attacks in Russia.

  8. I would have understood a false flag.

But letting islamists do the same terrorism as on western soil? Wtf Russia? Aren’t you supposed to be a dictatorship, jailing people as the first suspicious sign?

At least China isn’t that incompetent.

  9. ISIS are still a thing? Which brain dead loser is in that?

  10. So simple citizens get arrested for laying flowers at a monument, but terrorists can just escape after this kind of attack? How TF is that even possible?

  11. Armed terrorists in such a big gathering, I think it will be closer to 100 dead.

It’s a crazy world we live in

  12. People from Russia or whoever keep on accusing the “west” should remember that terrorists remain terrorists and dictators remain dictators. You can try to talk to them, but just because you have an agreement it doesn’t mean that they are your friends. They are still murderers and their “allies” will be killed regardless at some point.

It doesn’t make sense to make agreements with people like Hamas, Kim Jong-un and other murderers, Russia is just making them stronger and it will face the consequences at some point.

  13. My first reaction was “WTF?” then I remember ISIS still exist and the Russians fight them before the war.

  14. What a shocking development! Who could have guessed that some flavor of jihad enjoyer was involved?

  15. Interesting. I had my money on false flag, but I see no gain in an ISIS bogeyman taking responsibility as part of that narrative.

I suppose it fits: Russia is still supporting Assad in Syria and these poisonous ideologies can’t be fully stamped out. ISIS *was* reduced to the capacity of week-old binjuice but things like that regrow like weeds.

  16. Weren’t people saying this appears to be a fake ISIS account and how none of the ISIS main socials mentioned anything?

  17. Does this disqualify the false flag theory? Like 80% of the messages in the other thread claimed that lol

  18. In a speech Tuesday to Russia’s federal security agency, Putin called the embassy’s (American) warnings about potential terror attacks in Moscow “provocative,” saying “these actions resemble outright blackmail and the intention to intimidate and destabilize our society.”

    – Did somebody need this attack to declare a mass mobilization?

  19. A isis comeback isn’t on my 2024 bingo card. What the hell

  20. Never understood somebody claiming they did it
Is there some dude in a cave with an Mac book their social media guy and he tweets this to flex?

  21. So FSB organized false flag operation to allow politicians to start mobilization and then Isis claimed responsibility. ahahah perfect

  22. There we go again… terrorists have come to kill on the name of religion and relinquish any reputation islam has left. Terrorists and terrorist sympathizers must be hanged! All of them!

  23. What terrorist attack against western world since 2015 wasn’t claimed by ISIS? That’s only a facade to make them look more capable and influential than they actually are. Besides they aren’t soldiers with a cause but mercenaries, so even if they would’ve done it, who would’ve paid them?

  24. Did anyone have ‘ISIS in Moscow’ on their bingo card?

  25. Russia’s government might be awful but I never wanted anything like this to happen to Russians or anyone else. I’m so sick of religious fanatics.
