I get the GOP as a whole feels kinda like a den of wolves, but if this is the way their reign of terror ends, and these are those Republican’s way of say their done, well, its more ethical than saying they aren’t with the party their constituents voted for anymore, and either flipping Democrat or Independent. I applaud them for this act, if not for others.

  25. To risk losing your party’s majority is a serious fuck you to the leadership, and it really does seem like they’re at the end of their rope. (By “they” I mean the reps who are resigning).

  27. Wonder how many “moderate” GOP members are gonna punch out before the election. Would be pretty funny for the Dems to regain control out the house before the elections even happen. Just shows you that the GOP can’t govern.

    Prolly because a huge part of their day is fund-raising, which is a craphole job to begin with and is all being siphoned off to T. If you were planning to quit, why sit around doing that for another 6-7 months?

  36. So I’m 217-213 isn’t the thinnest of majorities. 216-214 is…. (Technically 215-215 but having the VP is the thinnest but with a democrat VP that won’t happen)
