  1. Comments made by millionaire that were racist and included threat to her life, interested to see how this plays out.

  2. > The remarks were reported to have been made by businessman Frank Hester during a company meeting, where he said Ms Abbott made him “want to hate all black women” and she “should be shot”.

    > Mr Hester later said he was “deeply sorry” for the “rude” comments, but insisted they had “nothing to do with her gender nor colour of skin”.

Hmmm, you literally mentioned black (skin colour) women (gender). What on Earth?!

  3. Nevermind racism, isn’t this grounds for inciting terrorism with the death threat against an MP?

  4. It’s crucially important that the police crack down on 5 year old private comments seeing as there are no new crimes being committed.

  5. Does anyone really believe this was a serious threat. A stupid misguided comment, yes. The man is probably an idiot but so is Abbot.

  6. Good.

Anyone who wants to pretend that he was only using “she should be shot” as a turn of phrase has to ignore the fact that he then followed that up by saying that Abbott and another women merely losing their jobs instead of being murdered wouldn’t be good enough – “It’s not as good as her dying. It would be much better if she died. She’s consuming resource. She’s eating food that other people could eat. You know?”

He said that he wants to hate all black women and then called for a black MP to be murdered because he’s a massive racist.

The police should treat him like any other racist who’s calling for people to be murdered rather than pretending that this kind of thing is all right if you’re wealthy enough and mates with the Prime Minister.

  7. Well it’s nice that they’re ‘investigating’ but I think we all know that it won’t lead to anything

  8. There is a tonne of extremism when it comes to Diane Abbott. The nastiness she gets is fucking disgusting and you can see it on the regular verb-noun0000 posters on here.

  9. Sounds like the police are shitting themselves again, as per Partygate.

This was reported two weeks ago. Anyone else would have been hauled in for questioning and possibly charged by now.

They always do a bad job when dealing with those involved in national politics – shit scared of the consequences it seems.

Need to get their finger out. It’s not just about racism but as the PM makes such a fuss about “extremism”, calling for an MP to be shot is pretty high up that list.

  10. Remember the grief Diane Abbott was getting in the shitrag newspapers for drinking a premixed cocktail on the train?, then the same shitrag newspapers doing everything in their power to downplay the disgusting comments made by this Tory?, England is a broken country.

  11. Comments were racist. How do the Police go about prosecuting him? They weren’t said to Abbott or in her presence but I would assume the Police would get a statement from her. Now the Police have to prove the comments were made that means someone who was there will have to provide a statement unless the comments were recorded. Will be interesting from a criminal point of view if enough evidence can be gathered to charge him.

  12. The Tories have completely failed this country with these kinds of laws.

The government SAYS the comments are OK.

But the police still have complete authority to launch an investigation?

  13. On the violence front, as a thought exercise.

I wonder would would have happened if someone said similar things about Jo Cox or David Amess a week before the were murdered

  14. So an ITV editor can say we don’t want white men on live TV and yet this crowd are silent but yet roar with anger about this Tory Donors equally horrible comments.

I hope both are equally shamed FYI, really does show the double standards and how racist and sexist people can be when they don’t like something.

  15. Only took them 2 weeks… always in the tories pocket, no surprise really, the bentest organisation in the country (outside the tories) populated and ran by the fucking masons.

The country is a disgrace, they can’t move fast enough though when Rishi wants a 200 officer police escort to run behind his fucking car. Sickening.

  16. I honestly hope they make an example of him tbh. Money shouldn’t make you exempt from inciting violence towards a person and nor should it make you exempt from blatant racism and misogyny. I’m honestly so fed up with the state of this country, our society should be more evolved than this

  17. And she wasn’t investigated for her comment about White men

  18. In the minds of most reasonable people, if the BBC were honest and called his comments racist & violent then it would not be a breach of the impartiality rules. “Alleged” indeed…

  19. She is a horrible person. And I hear POCs saying exactly the same things on a regular basis, even in public, by public figures.

  20. Was the comment racist or racially discriminatory? We know Diane upholds stringent definitions, so this is an important point.
