But they cannot abide by being seen as weak, soft, or cowardly, and Trump considers his money as a source of strength. Being called broke is essentially calling him weak, which is the cardinal sin of the right.

Also it’s not like Biden is out there every day at 2AM posting grade school nicknames on Troth Sential (aka Truth Social) from the toilet. He just cracked a few jokes (pretty good ones at that), and I think there was one press release mentioning the nickname.
Once again, as with every “scandal/controversy/etc” where they try to draw a similarity between Trump and Biden, these two things are not the same.
1. Trump’s lawyers say he doesn’t have the cash for the $464M bond due Monday and nobody will spot him the money
2. Biden campaign calls Trump “Broke Don”
3. Trump counters with “I have $500M cash”
4. Trump’s lawyers frantically work on how to spin this
