Women leaders in Europe are always (from the) right

  1. What an overly provocative title. Center-right has been in the smack dab middle of EU politics since the Steel and Coal community.

  2. BS

Denmark is ruled by central or left/socialist parties all ruled by women with high representation of women in the top leading elite of the parties.

Try spotting the male in the parliament representation for SF party https://www.ft.dk/da/partier/partier-i-folketinget/socialistisk-folkeparti/ordf%C3%B8rerskaber

This is from the unity list https://www.ft.dk/da/partier/partier-i-folketinget/enhedslisten/ordf%C3%B8rerskaber

    Danish Social liberal party https://www.ft.dk/da/partier/partier-i-folketinget/radikale-venstre/ordf%C3%B8rerskaber

The Social democratic government party is the old in the lot. So fewer women but the PM is female https://www.ft.dk/da/partier/partier-i-folketinget/socialdemokratiet/ordf%C3%B8rerskaber

  3. The PMs of Denmark, Sweden and Finland are all women and from Social Democrat parties.

The PM of Estonia is a woman and from a liberal centrist party.

All the EPP parties in power in EU countries are currently led by men.

  4. >Political scientists are still struggling to find an explanation

If political scientists struggle to find an explanation why women, examples taken predominantly from Germany and the UK tend to be Conservative I offer an astonishing explanation: Conservative governments in both countries have held power for all but 20-ish years during the entire post-war era up until today.

Structurally conservative countries produce conservative European figures, shocking revelation.
