It might be a good idea to keep Boris Johnson as a strawman whilst the coronavirus pandemic goes through, and replace him with either Priti Patel (to deal with the inevitable migrants crisis), Rishi Sunak (to deal with the inevitable pandemic economic issues from a conservative perspective), or Liss Trauss (a wicker woman for the brexit bonfire). If the role was after the pandemic ended and we were well into focusing on the economic and societal aftermath, I would actually be supportive of having Priti Patel as the leader since someone will have to deal with the migrants crisis and Sunak will still be treasurer whilst Trauss can be foreign minister and/or Brexit minister.
All these shenanigans bring up so many Berlusconi memories… it’s like listening to a foreign artist’s rendition of a traditional song of your childhood
