The Icelandic sagas indicate two Scots thralls gifted to Leif Erikson by King Olaf were put ashore in a bay in Vinland and used to scout the land and brought back grapes and wheat – the thralls were used due to their fleet footedness described as fast as animals
They were probably all doing an early IAT
