The Mediterranean holds 3,750,000 km3 of water. Let’s say we could somehow replicate the Mediterranean in Oz to the same capacity. How much would that lower global sea levels and counteract the rise from global warming?
Apparently a 1mm rise requires ~3,600km3 of water.
So taking away 3.6 million km3 would reduce global sea levels by 1000mm, or 1 meter. One entire fucking meter! Let’s do it…
