  1. Go on your own and make new friends with all the other people there on their own because their friend circles also wouldn’t go out with them

  2. Find a local with a good crowd and make it your own! If you play an instrument find a local open mic night, I can’t begin to tell you the number of friends I’ve made over the years just playing guitar in the pub every few weeks!

  3. Same. Sad really. Tried integrating with one of my close friends group of mates but can’t help but feel like he’s not making an effort.

He knows I do be lonely but never seems to try and make a concerted effort to get me into his friends group like most would or at least he is not aware enough to use his initiative to get me in with them like saying ‘oh let’s bring X along. Good craic’ or ‘let’s get X added into the group
    Chat’.

I tried with them but didn’t get close enough before my friend seemingly gave up on me. Can’t help but feel like life is passing me
By. Good job. Partner. But still not fulfilling. At least most people have a group of friends to socialise with.

  4. That’s me

I have nobody I can just text to hang out with me

Everyone else I know does, I just have to wait till there’s a session or something, I just want someone who’s close to me myself and not just a friend because we’re part of a big group

I have friends, but I don’t have solo friends, if that makes sense 🙁

  5. You should go drinking by yourself, you just need drink at a really fast pace so the feelings of regret that got you to a place where you are drinking alone don’t catch up.
