So many other issues at play….the utopian thinkers all think heaven on earth will be a step closer if nobody smoked…..the anti smoking crew and the like can mind their own business….of all the ills in society to focus on and this is chosen as the one to highlight time and time again! I say we ban Irish Whiskey….I say we ban GUINESS as well!
Don’t hate on everyone who smokes as it works well for the mentally ill
in ways not yet understood. That and around the world once the smoking rate hits around 17% it kind of flattens. Im guessing that cadre has no choice in the matter.
When I started teaching, we had a load of smokers hiding behind the prefabs smoking. Being the fucking teenage idiots they are (we all were) it was so obvious, like a native American tribe doing smoke signals. Nowadays I can count on one hand the number of cigarette smokers.
But vaping, it’s everywhere and definitely has replaced smoking. It’s insidious and completely designed to lure in young students with flashy bright colours and fun flavours. By 3rd year they are mixing in drugs to it and despite what some people on other forums will tell you, we have gotten to the stage where 6th years have done cocaine in the toilets during lunch.
Not a single positive comment here so I guess I’ll start. An overall fantastic result and on a personal level I’m delighted to walk into a bar/restaurant etc. and not have to deal with other people’s smoking.
I never got the appeal of smoking and still don’t. At least drinking etc. can be fun.
Smoking is horrible from start to finish lol.
Hopefully mainland Europe can cut its smoking population a lot over the coming years as so many people still smoke.
