The UN resolution ‘exposes the rifts’ between the Biden administration and Netanyahu’s government

This certainly is a major step and and it really exposes the Rifts between the Biden Administration and Benyamin net and Yahoo’s government and he has hit out following uh this um saying that it will provide hope to Hamas that it can get a ceasefire without releasing Israel’s hostages um first so uh strong

Words from the Prime Minister and he’s also taken some action he’s recalled uh a visit he’s he’s said not sending a delegation of senior Israeli officials to Washington remember Joe Biden had asked an Israeli delegation to go to the White House and talk about plans for an alternative to an allout offensive on

The Garen city of Rafa Netanyahu agreed to that well now he said they’re not going we should point out though that meanwhile the Israeli defense minister Yu Gallant is already in Washington he arrived there on Sunday he’s holding talks with the White House security adviser Jake Sullivan he’s also set to

Meet Anthony Lincoln and defense secretary Lloyd Austin um talking about by the way Us weapons surpri to Israel so this is a this is a step from Netanyahu showing his anger but I think here we can just see these huge cracks once again opening up um between the Biden Administration and Netanyahu

They’re really really anxious not for him not to go into an all-out offensive on Rafa and they’ve um been under increasing pressure of course to uh agree to some kind of ceasefire or truce

The UN Security Council for the first time Monday demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. “This certainly is a major step and it really exposes the rifts between the Biden administration and Binyamin Netanyahu’s government”, said FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Jerusalem, Catherine Norris Trent. “He [Netanyahu] has hit out following this, saying that it will provide hope to Hamas that it can get a ceasefire without releasing Israel’s hostages first”, she added.

  1. Israel needs to think carefully. They may win a battle, but lose a long term war! The middle east is not a good place to be without friends.

  2. Realistically speaking, Israel will ignore the resolution and continue the aggression →The US stops the weapons supply to Israel. That's my expectations. But I may be too optimistic
