I wonder if they have any ideas about how to fund social security.
There’s this extremely dumb trend where people say taxing the rich won’t net anything. As if we can’t see their opulence.
If we didn’t touch the principal and got just half the annual return on the wealth of the top 1% we could fund Social Security forever.
Is it time to introduce wealth tax ?

It blows my mind how one in a hundred people are worth several million dollars. Somewhere the numbers are jacked
So what? It is not a zero sum game. New wealth is created every day. Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos and Jeff Zuckerberg being rich doesn’t make me poor. In our economy the rich h=get richer and the poor get richer too.
The wealth of another has no impact on your skills or earning potential.
