Them refusing to investigate is nothing short of corruption.
There’s currently an investigation ongoing so I imagine they’re waiting the outcome of that. No point duplicating work, let the civil service have it’s investigation then they’ll see how many events there has been to be investigated.
Maybe just maybe the people who haven’t seen how much of a clown show our political landscape is. Can finally see how corrupt and utterly detached it is from being a system for the people.
Our Government, the people in the seats of power not only don’t care about us, the rules that we must follow under threat of fines and incarceration don’t apply to them. The police are to protect the interests of business and the status quo. It’s so clearly transparent here you would have to be in a coma to miss it.
Now can we have some solidarity and actually hurt them in the only way that matters. don’t consume, demand better wages, strike, apply pressure on the system.
Who polices the police, though? And if someone does, they will likely be corrupt, too. What’s happening now is demonstrably, undeniably, factually different rules for those in power.
If it was an illegal rave, it would be a £10k fine for the organiser, seized equipment and £800 for each attendee. Which were all deterrent fines passed through during the first lockdown, which in turn has funded their own fucking parties
Love the tactic; delay until you know the evidence has been cleared away, and *then* start investigating.
It’s hard to see how the police can retain the trust of the public at all, this coming on top of a swathe of sex crimes perpetrated by police officers.
Hey, someone saved Cressida from being investigated for killing that Brazilian guy, years ago. She is just paying the establishment back.
It’s pointless investigating when you know in advance you will not secure a conviction.
Tory poison ruins everything. I’m sure there are some police itching to get in there and cuff the lot of them. Political meddling with the law and the police is the thin end of a dictatorship.
Why are so many people prepared to stake their integrity and reputation for one charlatan of a man. He should resign as soon as possible. He is making a mockery of the whole country.
Nick the whole cabinet and get them up before a judge tomorrow and call a general election.
There were plenty of parties. Maybe they will not probe all of them but can they not probe just one? If you want to try and convince people you are not helping the government cover up their disregard for their own rules, you should at least pretend to investigate one or two of the parties and claim there was no wrongdoing. We would see through that bullshit but it’s at least more convincing than just refusing to do anything.
Back scratching is still a thing. Old boys clubs don’t just wither and die.
Nothing an MP (including the PM) does is illegal except for upsetting the HoC. That’s why hundreds committed fraud and 1 was convicted. I don’t blame the police for not wanting to waste time on something that will make them unpopular with their bosses and go no where.
You know how some surnames represent what they do, like Cooper, Miller, Smith, Turner. Well is it possible?
the same police that guard the street and house? the police who check everyone who comes and goes at any hour? those police?
They can’t as technically no law was broken.
Johnson lives at 10 Downing Street so he can be there. The staff work there, so they can be there. They were together for work, so there was no gathering outside work. In the garden, they all worked there and were all in separate groups.
It’s a technicality, but technically, looks like no laws were broken, just a loophole used.
Sun shines, grass grows and the Met are incompetent.
“Minister, two basic rules of government: Never look into anything you don’t have to. And never set up an enquiry unless you know in advance what its findings will be”.
Sir Humphrey Appleby (Yes Minister)
I’m going back to sleep. It’s too early for this bs on a Sunday morning
An the Met still wonder why they get riots? Truly they keep doing it to themselves.
