We are pawns. Plain and simple. With today’s technology no reason we need to work to even 65. Life’s short “they” the 1% sure gets to stop and smell the roses.
No we can’t. The rich want it gone so it’s gone. There’s nothing we can do about it.
Fine. Raise the Social Security tax cap to 10 mill income per year.
Don’t cry when the billionaires get several million a year out of Social Security when they retire and claim benefits.
Without data I can confidently say the proportion of citizens living many years beyond 65 is shrinking not enlarging. Esp amongst citizens that need SS in retirement.
