1. Very good point. No order passes away without going through its death throes. It’s scary to live through such times but in the long run change is inevitable. This sort of behavior from the old guard only confirms it. Similar to how right wing movements are devolving into ever more absurd conspiracy theories—it’s desperate clinging to a worldview that is no longer tenable, an attempt to use to fear to maintain control a little longer. But tides turn, whether those who’ve enjoyed power for so long like it or not.
