No it’s not. As much as I hate that game, winning it doesn’t change anything.
Sergio riding off into the sunset with a CL would be much better.
Chelsea CL, and if I can choose the result and stuff I would choose a Sergio winner
I’m fully confident we would have beaten Liverpool and won the CL in 2019 had we beaten Spurs in that Semi-Final. That game still hurts years later.
UCL final against chelsea is objectively the right answer because it gives one of our best players a good sendoff. Laporte, Mahrez and Sterling also get a UCL for which they can hail themselves as major contributors.
As for the most embarrassing result I would like to change or atleast have the club get a chance to change, then that would be the Lyon game. City was not supposed to lose that. I still shake my head in disbelief when I think about that game. One of the hardest games (not related to United or Liverpool) to blank out.
I might genuinely forget the Stones clearance against liverpool before I ever forget the Sterling miss 😑. Both memories live rent-free in my head, but one of them is staying to spite me.
Chelsea CL easily.
After that, maybe the FA cup final against Wigan in 2013.
Third choice prob our 0-1 agg loss to RM in the semi final in 2016. Would of had Atletico in the final.
I have to agree being 2-0 up at half time the concorse was booming and we should have comfortably won the league that day against them of all teams
For me, the UCL Final vs Chelsea. Seeing Aguero in tears after that match broke me, would’ve loved to send him off with a UCL.
Second choice would be 18/19 vs Spurs. Perfect storm of things went wrong in that fixture.
Lyon is the most embarrassing result but it was so early in the tournament that I didn’t feel a sense of robbery like the Spurs result
what… it obviously should be aguero leaving the club with the one thing he promised to give before leaving, which is the CL. it was such a depressing end to what was a great career and contribution by aguero to the club. aguero was just unable to be fit by the last season and, we did what we did which helped the inevitable happened which is our lost in the CL final. not starting a dm in a final, wow. and the reason for that is the silliest part – its to accomodate raheem fkn sterling. crazy.
Chelsea CL, yes last year’s win was truly special but who wouldn’t have wanted to give Kun his UCL send-off.
Chelsea CL. Awful match. Awful performance. Sergio in tears. Kev assaulted. Best team in Europe beaten by a middling team and a thug.
We won the league that year with 100 points. I dont care about that game.
It’s absolutely the 2021 UCL final.
Sergio Aguero said he wouldn’t leave until we won the UCL and we came that close in his last game. Seeing him cry at the end was horrible.
Shows you how much things have changed that everyone’s answer involves the Champions League. They’re all wrong, by the way.
2-2 with Liverpool to get relegated on the last day of the season. Word got through that a draw would mean survival, City played to run the clock down only to realise this was wrong and we needed to win.
Here’s a different answer to everyone’s. FA Cup semi final Chelsea 2020/21. Win that match and we would’ve walked into the CL final with much more confidence. Don’t forget, we lost two games in a row against Chelsea leading up to the CL final. The other loss was a league game where Aguero flunked his penalty, which ultimately cost us the game.
We could’ve won the quadruple that year but that FA Cup match cost us both cups imo.
Spurs UCL. Never been more crushed by a loss watching City.
Middlesbrough 8-1.
CL Final against Chelsea
Any game we dropped points in during the 18/19 season for me.
Nah man you’re crazy for that, a league defeat is nowhere near as heart breaking as losing our first UCL final.
Champions league final vs Chelsea. I would have loved to see Aguero and Fern win that
The champions league final vs Chelsea or EFL cup last season so we could have won a quadruple
6-1. It should have been 10.
That loss in the derby at home in that season came to mind immediately, but it would’ve taken away Jesus’ last minute goal against Southampton to break 100 points. That’s a moment that I love watching back. I’m really torn, though haha
City winning over arsenal at the emirates last season
Champions league final against Chelsea, Aguero deserved a better ending….

Not the champions league exit?
