  1. Sounds excellent. The individual platforms are still responsible for the content found on them.

  2. Good. These companies earn billions and they are content providers. Regulators everywhere should put their feet to the fire and force them to verify the content that gets published there and what people get in their algorithm dictated feeds.

  3. As they should.

Why should Kate Middleton’s post get a red flag when my mate’s Google Pixel edits get passed as real life?

  4. Please not just deepfakes, but all fakes. I get so tired of all those AI photos on FB with 20.000 people (aka bots) commenting on how beautiful it is. Just label all that shit as AI.

  5. Posting deepfakes is already a fineable offense in some EU countries.

  6. They should mandate with very heavy fines or bans, but at least is a start.

  7. They’ll have to use an AI for it , the AI war has began

  8. All AI tbh. In fact, just ban the fucking things

  9. Any posts with> 20% number of likes generated by click farm and bots need to ID’d as well.

  10. And I am sure they will find a way to do it as they have been very responsible with all the other content moderation… right? Hello? Oh shit…

  11. The fact that Meta & TikTok has to be forced to do this – speaks volumes.
