  1. Hii, quick follow-up question:

We visited the tigne point and its beaches today and were wondering, what the tunnels and rails were used for? We tracked on tunnel to the location marked in the second image but werent sure about its purpose?
Ive read quite a lot about fort tigne now (*) but am still not any smarter – any ideas ? 🙂

  2. I’ve entered that tunnel. The tunnel continues inwards and to the right. Eventually you can reach and enter the round bastion featured in the right of the picture, you can go up and look out those windows. If you go, make sure you have flashlight, or enough battery on your phone.

It is pitch black inside those tunnels, no light comes through once you pass just 10 meters inside. I haven’t ventured much further than that but the tunnels seem to continue rightwards.
