  1. All NATO countries should step up, but mostly the US lately

  2. What’s that cost? $7Bn + ammo? In the scheme of things, that’s actually pretty cheap. I think there’s pretty much no way those are coming from inventory though, so it’s going to be a while, even if Johnson stops being Trumps coffee boy long enough to let the house vote.

  3. Damn he has aged, stress a terrible killer to the human body.

  4. The problem is the GOP. I believe all these needs may have been addressed by now had America been in control of its own government.

  5. So much love and emotion in his face. I’ve never had so much respect for anyone like I do for Zelenskyy (and all who fight this aggression). Let us bring justice to the evil.

  6. According to UA commanders not a single KH-32 missiles has ever been shootdown in Ukraine.

    >Since the launch of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have fired around 300 Kh-22 missiles (also called X-22 in English) at Ukraine, none of which have been intercepted and shot down, a Kyiv official said on Friday.

This is a missile created in 1962. At some point this guy needs to start speaking the truth because his lies are backfiring.

  7. The real world data that Ukraine is getting for American weapons systems being used is invaluable.

The improvements and upgrades that will come from this will save American lives in any future conflicts

  8. Can anyone speculate what’s up between the US and Zelensky? I have a feeling the US told him what to do, and he just disregarded it.

Zelensky seems to have a fight everywhere mentality and didn’t make a concentrated push.

I think something is going on though.

  9. As a Swedish person i pay crazy tax as it is. But I will happily pay twice if I can keep ukrainian lives safe.

  10. I would say he’s the hero of mankind even if he survives or not. He stands against the new nazis.

  11. Maybe because of overzealous advisers, Zelenskyy [once asked](https://www.wsj.com/articles/ukraines-zelensky-we-are-ready-for-counteroffensive-22f4f3f2) for 50 Patriot batteries, and with the US’ Patriot arsenal at 50 batteries, asking for all of it was a ridiculous proposition. For context, the US seems to supply a lot of the missiles but it has given only 1 Patriot battery, with Germany having given 2 Patriot batteries.

Zelenskyy now asking for 5-7 Patriot batteries/systems is far more reasonable — and doable. They’re over a billion dollars each battery but the aid that MAGA Republicans are currently blocking is worth $60 billion, so (if/when unblocked) it could fit within that package.

If the US grants the baseline request of 5 batteries, the US would retain 90% of its current Patriot arsenal, which are but a supplement to its vast air defense assets with the might of the US Air Force and the US Navy. The US can then also replenish its Patriot systems, providing multi-billion-dollar business and jobs to the US defense industry.

  12. The Republicans abandonment of Ukraine is pure evil! How can we scream the chants of freedom & democracy as we let a tyrannical maniac like putin rape & pillage any & every nation he wants?! How can we constantly market these alliances we belong to but abandon our allies in the face of adversity. The way we’re pandering & cowering to putin & Russia is sickening & gonna haunt us in the future!

  13. The guy is a clown. He is the reason why the west is not in the hurry to provide weapons to Ukraine. It’s tough to provide weapons to a corrupt government that steals from its own people.

  14. Those systems cost $1.1B each, and Ukraine has already been given at least 3 from NATO. It’s about $4 million per shot. The USA has had to sent more Patriot systems to the Middle East to defend against threats there. It’s not a small request.
