  5. Have heard plenty of Russians talk about wanting to kill Ukrainians, have heard many say they’re fucked by their own army. Got a feeling he was one of the later. What a fucked up way to live and die.

  16. Yeah, once you remove the safety cap on an RPG warhead, it’s impact activated, so all you need to do is drop it the wrong way and it will go off.

    There are plenty of videos from Iraq of people tripping while running with an RPG, faceplanting, and exploding. Apparently this guy didn’t know that.

  18. I know RPGs are a simple shaped-charge warhead stuck on the end of the sort of rocket that’s pretty much the same as what the Chinese were making 800 years ago, but I always assumed that the impact detonator on the nose wouldn’t go off until the thing had been fired.

    Now I know that if I should ever come across an RPG, I shouldn’t chuck it around just for shits and giggles.

  25. That’s really odd since the RPG-7 has a minimum arming distance of 5 meters. Maybe a malfunction, or a non-standard round from North Korea …

  27. There will be Russian soldiers who almost got to this level but didn’t go through with it who will return to Russian society with extreme PTSD. I’m sure their country will provide them the best mental health support.
