Not bad. Smaller and harder than any UK brand, and, like I say, way less juicy. Pricey at about £2 a can here in dubai – I'll have to ration them (ironically).

  1. Why would you pour away the juice. What do you do with your bread?

  2. Pour the juice away? Stay there mate, we’ve enough weirdos in the UK as it is.

  3. You call sauce juice, you used to pour it away, you think the carrefour baked beans are not bad.

You sir are the weirdest MF. Dont come back.

  4. Hahah you’re getting a lot of hate here ! Did you forget how passionate us brits are about our beans haha 🫘

  5. Thankfully he’s already emigrated by the sounds of it, hopefully the home office are working on taking away his citizenship.

  6. Looking at that made me feel really queasy and I can’t quite explain why.

  7. I bet my house, on that this tin of beans was stored upside down. All the juice is bottom of the tin.

  8. Let me guess, you tip away the sauce and then squirt tomato ketchup back in?

  9. Bro can literally buy Heinz and HP beans here in Dubai but chooses these affronts to the baked bean AND POURS AWAY THE JUICE. Lucky he is overseas because I’m pretty sure this is a crime back home.

  10. This is why the guy on the new Heinz advert is inconsolable after losing his luggage, because he probably has to eat this shit instead!

  11. Dubai is a vile hellscape so I guess you deserve hellscape beans while there.

  12. You drain brine, water, oil, vinegar from canned or jarred things before eating them, not sauces, jeeze.

  13. Hey OP, fellow ex pat here! You should try the California Garden brand. They have them in Lulu and they’re pretty good. Just bought a pack of four 400g cans for 13 AED, around £3! 🙂

  14. I’ve started pouring out some of the tomato sauce with Heinz beans as I find it to be too watery and sugary with a weird aftertaste now

however I’ve found recently Branston beans are the way to go – perfect balance of a nice sauce consistency/amount, the beans are just as good quality albeit a fraction smaller, no aftertaste and on top of all that about 30-50p cheaper per tin

  15. I’m sorry…. but you throw the juice away?

Reminds me of the friends episode where Chandler says that Joey is taking the ‘essence of the sofa away’ by taking the cushions!

    You’re a mentalist pal.

  16. your first mistake was stepping foot in the shit hole that is Dubai.

  17. I live in Dubai and off brand baked beans are very hit and miss here.

You can get off brand beans in the UK and no problem but here, you take your life into your hands!

There’s too many that are too sweet, for starters

Stay away from Carrefour, get yourself into a West Zone or a Viva or Nesto and explore beans there, they’ll be better and cheaper than Carrefour

  18. A tin of Heinz beans won’t break the bank max!

  19. If you’re in Dubai you can get the superior version of baked beans somewhere- it’s called Fasulieh. In fact they eat it all across Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Its baked beans with whatever meat is most common locally, probably lamb or goat there.
Check it out if you can.

  20. I’m perturbed by everyone describing the sauce as juice.

  21. My parents used to buy Heinz beans and rinse the tin out with a bit of water into the pan so growing up my beans were even water-ier than normal. That’s probably considered abuse nowadays.

I stick to HP beans now, basically branston but cheaper. They only really reappeared once the cost of living crisis arrived during/post COVID

  22. I only really like the juice so would you like to team up?

  23. 1. Buy decent beans.
    2. Add a big knob of butter to the beans.
    3. Heat in pan or microwave (it makes no difference)
    4. Mix and observe the juice emulsify with the butter and become a creamy sauce
    5. Eat and enjoy a wondrous new experience!

  24. Don’t buy too many. Remember, you can only carrefour.

  25. Pouring the juice away is a war crime, you deserve those sub par beans
