This podcast does a decent job of unpacking the diplomatic crisis over the Turów coal mine, as talks between Warsaw and Prague on the subject continue to unfold. I’ve read so much about this subject, but heard little on the radio.

Good to hear the voices of the miners and environmentalists alike, too.

  1. From what I’ve heard from my Polish colleague, the vast majority of Poland actually takes the side of Czechia and are embarassed by the government’s approach and “playing dead” policy. Locals are naturally worried about their jobs, but let’s face it: shit happens and it’s up to government to boost vacant jobs in the region, it’s not like we should be held liable for their inability to adapt…
