– the bill was not about “restoring” access but extending it to females 15yo+, without any limitation or prescription (BTW, why only cis-women, can any libleft fanatic answer?)
– the rationale for the veto was that 15yo limit. If the limit had been 18yo+ the decision would have been different, the President’s office representative said today.

The Ministry of Health has already announced a workaround, where they’ll make the pills available via a system of “pharmacist prescription” or something along these lines. Still, this guy’s blocking a lot of other reforms as well, as he’s the “last remaining bastion” of the regressive, ultra-conservative party that ruled the country for the last 8 years. His delusion is at the levels of those podcasters from the US and his incompetence and idiocy is almost proverbial in Poland. Who knows, maybe in 10 years we’ll have a saying “Dumb as a Duda.”
