I’ll always remember her accepting the vma for best kiss for this and then thanking her real best kiss on stage, her at the time bf and potential Spider-Man replacement – Jake Gyllenhaal
“I’d be old MJ at this point” awww you can really see how a lifetime of dealing with Hollywood has distorted her perception of her age. She’s not some old matron, but no doubt many casting people and producers treat her that way nowadays. She might as well be the Dowager Countess as far as many of those people are concerned.
Anyone else sick and tired of hearing millionaires who never have to worry about paying their bills, complain about what they had to “go through” to get those millions?

Yeah she earned $7 million dollars for being miserable and wet shooting a scene for a movie. What a terrible situation to be in 🙄
SHE was miserable? Think of how bad Mcguire had it: hanging upside down, rain going down nose, kissing a girl who also was miserable. Darn good acting by both since there could be no joy in that kiss.
I mean, if you want to complain about rain scenes you gotta get in line behind Gene Kelly who did the titular Singin’ in the Rain number with a fever over 100. But I imagine multi-take rain kisses are not that fun. Remains the most romantic single Spidey scene though, even if the other pairs have great chemistry of their own.
Toby said it was awful as well because he hated cigarette smoke, and she chain smokes, including up to the moment they kissed, he said she tasted like an ash tray.

Oh I bet! It’s raining, he’s upside down, no bra, the mask is in the way, her nose is pressed against his chin. Sounds like a pain in the ass to me.

Her ‘Old Mary Jane with spider babies’ idea is gold. That would be a fantastic animated show.
