Look delicious. Did the same for my gran last year, but with a Victoria sponge. Gran didn’t make it past Easter Sunday sadly. But the house and nest egg she left me really served as a silver lining!
Very thoughtful and they look lovely.
Aren’t carbs horrendously bad for diabetics? Turns to sugar in the blood 🤔

My grandma once said when she was drunk (and probably just kidding) that she’s a trendsetter when it comes to cheese scones since apparently shops in our area didn’t sell cheese scones until after the time she started making them at home lol.
I have been warned to steer clear of carbs by my gp surgery as my blood sugars are heading upwards. Not a thing about avoiding sugar. Carbohydrates are converted to sugar by the body.
Love the concern that my poor mother’s diabetes and eating habits is causing for random strangers on the internet! Who would have thought there was so many experts in one sub! Definitely will think again before posting any more would-be lighthearted things…
Mate, high carbs are bad for diabetics.
“My mom is suffering from diabetes so I’m going to spike the shit out of her blood sugar and insulin response” is definitely a weird tradition…
Are you trying to finish her off?
This is perfect, I’m going to do this too (I’m lactose intolerant).
