  3. That’s not a decoy, that is simply the latest round of Russian recruits. New and improved. Even cheaper for Khuylo because they don’t need feeding or paying. Just as effective.

  8. Unlikely. A candle probably lasts less than hour and, at best, the thermal image will show a pinpoint heat source instead of the entire “body” generating heat. And how does the candle stay lit on a windy day?

  10. I’m sure drone operators will just shrug, drop a grenade on it and move on to the actual living enemy targets. I don’t see what a mock-up like this would possibly achieve besides giving Ukrainians a good laugh.

  11. I’m pretty sure the drones can tell it’s not a real soldier because I imagine it won’t quite match an actual humans heat pattern.

  13. Regular grunts will be having those nice new trousers, the clean jacket and the flak protection away in minutes.

  22. Candles eventually run out. Wouldn’t this require a real human to change out candles, thus proving that there are troops in the area and will therefore be flushed out anyway?

    This is the modern version of lifting your helmet up on a rifle to check for sharp shooters.
