  2. To me, it looks like Mbappe is on the fence and it all hinges on PSG winning the Champions League:

  3. I wonder if Luis Enrique is just being optimistic or he’s gotten a different feeling from Mbappé in training.

    I’ve felt like Mbappé’s departure has been all but confirmed at this point.

  5. I do wonder if Madrid are trying to do it all on their own terms and Mbappe doesn’t want to give up all the image rights, Olympics participation, take a massive pay cut etc.

    There is the sporting consideration of him being on the left and Vinicius being there, he’s made it clear he doesn’t want to be down the middle, Vinicius will either have to be moved positionally, benched or sold to accommodate that. It might be something Mbappe is wary of.

  6. Does anyone actually think they’ll win Champions League, I think that’s kind of the point of him leaving (that they aren’t very competitive with the first tier of teams in EU). They’re squeezing out victories over random French teams, not beating quality Premier League or Spanish League teams.
