I don't speak Hungarian myself but I was trying to watch it with him once and straight away I noticed that they are showing rus flag on the main screen non stop that looked very weird for me. So I did some research of the channel and found out that it's funded by orban party or something. I tried watching more and noticed that they are trying to show all the negative aspects of Ukraine? And even showing rus side footage which I never have seen on other news outlets. So for me its clear that this channel is probably propaganda. So I started asking question and his views are very bad he believes this narrative that "ruskies doing good work and Ukraine is nazi". I was absolutely shocked …

Watching HirTV is not any worse than reading world news on Reddit. Both are incredibly biased and non of them even try to interpret news objectively.

The other solution is, to show your friend some (english) OSINT news. They tell the raw hard truth. They sometimes link videos (very gross videos) too.
If you find some of that and show that to him/her (I dont remember, I’m literally writing this at 1:00), it will probably make up his/her mind.

From what I’ve learned so far, especially regarding Hungarians living abroad yet listening to propaganda, they’re more or less hopeless to save. The narrative is very cleverly built and leave no room for criticism.
I’d consider setting up an exit plan from this friendship because you’re probably fundamentally seeing the world through completely different glasses. I’m terribly sorry.
