Easter Meat Pie (Italian tradition only I seem to know about) and cinnamon buns from a tube.
Going to drum and bass on the bike in Bristol. I missed the last 2 years so I’m really excited!
I hopefully will be eating one of those cute lambs
Happy birthday to meeeee! 41…fuck, where did the time go?
Child #2 slept terribly, so I’ve been up since (the new) 410. Today will mostly be yawning, probably.
The sun’s out and we’re off for a lamb roast later, so could be worse.
Chillin. Dog walk, maybe some chores. Forgot that shops are closed today so dinner will come at a price from the Tesco express… Or possibly the Chinese if it’s open. It should be open?
Laid in bed drinking coffee with an spoilt house tiger snuggled under the duvet demanding a back scratch. My favourite Sunday morning routine.
Off for a hike & more coffee. Happy Easter folks!
Not lazy, until later! Working organist/freelance muso so lead-up to and Easter itself tend to be helpfully busy (but 11 gigs or paid rehearsals in 8 days was going some even for me.) Laziness will involve dishwasher dealing with all beef remnants around 3pm and trip to the new Ghostbusters at 5pm. Highlight will be catch up with friend of 15 years ago with whom we lost touch as life intervened till he texted to see if number still worked late last night. AND it’s not raining.. 🙂(yet?)
Misses is out on the raz! I’ll miss her complaining and doing my head in! That’s why I’m out on the razz to!! Lovely excuse x
Kids got up at 4am 🫠 Been out in the garden for the annual egg hunt already.
Making dinner for the in-laws today and eating too much chocolate. Happy spring celebrations!
If anyone lives near Rossendale, I can heartily recommend a visit to Mr Fitzpatrick’s for a snack and a drink. Went there yesterday and absolutely loved the sarsaparilla.
Today will be a nice walk through the village with mum and then cooking a lamb roast with all the trimmings.
Easter? I barely know ‘er!
I’ve got my parents round for the day. Mum doesn’t do lamb so there’s no point in doing it. I’m doing a roast chicken instead (it’s been brining overnight). All the trimmings with it. Maybe go for a bit of a walk if the weather holds up then chill and watch a James Bond film. Got a few nice beers in as well so will be taking full advantage of not being at work tomorrow.
Lazy morning then taking kid to MILs house for lunch. Going to walk with him so he burns off some energy before we get there, because they don’t like him running around -_- (he’s 5) and do an Easter egg hunt around the garden.
Simnel cake slab and mini eggs from Betty’s and a load of books. Nice.
I will try to make the devilled eggs chicks. They look so cute and easy,… guess I’ll find out in about an hour how easy is actually is lol.
Happy Easter everyone!
This is the first time in 4 years we’ve had a lie in on “spring forward” clock change day, my son slept until 7 which is now 8am! We’re just pottering today really.
We’ll watch the Winnie the pooh Easter film because it’s one of his favourites, have some Easter eggs after breakfast. Then, in no particular order – bake a cake, the boy will have a long “day bath” and probably a trip to the park at some point. Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans and toast for lunch then more eggs.
Picky tea and hopefully Shogun and more eggs after little one is in bed.
Been up since 5.30 and have been sat wondering for the last hour looking at the gorgeous sunshine if it is too early to cut the grass. Decided to have another cup of tea and start at 9!
Mow the lawns, wash the car, do a roast (lamb, obviously).
Just lazing around but I had a question…
I recently completed a long distance hike in a National Park and on some of the wooden signposts (in the middle of countryside) someone had attached laminated flyers advertising their sports massage business that was based in the town at the end of the walk.
I pulled a few down and later binned them. My reasoning was that I didn’t want beautiful, unspoilt countryside plastered with ads, even if it is a small business.
I later told my missus and she said it was really mean-spirited, like, “something Victor Meldrew”
would do.”
What do you all reckon? Am I grumpy, mean bastard, or is it fair enough?
Going with my sister to watch the womens league cup final in Wolvo, then got some people round in the evening for some food and a natter, should be great.
