Looks like you should head over to FB Slovenia travel group … It depends on how much time you have, how far off course you’d go. Maribor and Ptuj, Trakošćan castle just over the border in Croatia, probably skip the highway, no point buying vignette just for that. Herzerlstraße (heart shaped road ) a bit west of your route, west of Ptuj the wonderful church and view at Ptujska gora, or east from Ptuj to Dornava and Borl castles, or further to the Jeruzalem wine region, with tastings at Malek.
Just do a drivethrough. Nothing to see in Slovenia if you aren’t willing to give her time. Have fun in Croatia.
