Not a new thing but algorithms have really made social media a honeypot for dumb people in recent years
Anti vaxxers, flat earthers, veganism, men can get pregnant, Kate Middleton etc
It’s reinforcing and giving voices to absolute loons
When I found out BBC lied to the public with TV detector vans I didn’t trust the media since then
These people have no real desire for discovering the truth or aiding the public, it’s all about attention.
