It makes me sometimes feel tricked when I see pictures like this. You go through Gdańsk doing sightseeing and thinking what a remarkably we’ll preserved old city with some nice medieval buildings. Then you see a picture like this and realize this was all burned to the ground and rebuilt
Given the sorry state the country was in after the war the result is extremely impressive.
Apparently they still knew where the streets were.
Now wait for 2025 when it will be again as in 1945 thanks to putin.
Looks like rusky liberation, very surprised the tower in the bottom survived.

Danzig was German in 1945. Danzig ist Deutsch.
The city also has a nice bicycle infrastructure. Much better than other parts of Poland.
Everyone should keep this picture in mind before they accuse other countries of building new ‘historic’ architecture
The Pink Floyd concert was the greatest thing to ever happen to that town hahaha. Seriously, still an iconic city.
