Having bots writing about how West is not supporting enough, that will anger pro-Ukraine people and also having bots writing about how they support too much, angering anti-Ukraine people. All in all we (as we on reddit) don’t know sh*t on about how much and when is sent yet everyone keeps on talking about it and getting angry at each other, giving more election power to corrupt jackas*es
I would categorize it not as “fear” but as the wary caution you afford the nut case on the street corner, shouting nonsense and threats at passerby.
Is it genuine fear or are the ones on the take just using that to paralyze an effective response?
And a USA President that is weak. Putin isn’t going to use Nukes. If Western powers went into Ukraine the war would be over in less than a week.
This is why Mike Johnson is delaying Congressional action on funding Ukraine: let the people live in fear as long as possible, before swooping in to do anything. Republicans aren’t just playing into Putin’s hands, they’re complaint puppets on his strings.
The West doesn’t care because the bombs and the murderers do not happen in their countries, and some countries are eager to start doing business with the merchant of death.
Just think about it: 60 billion are one percent of the annual gdp of the United States. One percent and means absolutely nothing for us, and yet because of the evangelical christians and Maga lunatics we can’t move forward with the bill because orange Messiah hates Ukrainians.
And the USA’s inability to be a powerful nation.
It could also be his undoing…

I think Putin’s greatest asset in both his war in Ukraine and his ability to divide America is his use of racism.
