Unfortunately, more and more gherkins in Poland, and certainly the discount ones, also come from India. Certainly the gherkins of Lidl’s (Freshona) and Biedronka’s (Nasza Spiżarnia) own brands come from India
They can be made in Burkina Faso for all I care, as long as they’re good.
To be honest it’s not about where the vegetable is from, but if they’re properly fermented and not just drowned in vinegar.
What a shit. Proper ingredients should be: cucumbers, water, salt, dill, horseradish, leaf of oak or cherry tree that’s it.
Walmart sells a Butter Chicken kit made in Poland.

I guess it’s about how they are made instead of where they are produced. Like Polish Sausage doesn’t have to be in Poland. Did they tasted like proper very sour ogórki kiszone or rather korniszowe or some other more sweet and sour type of shit? Or you didn’t even tried them?
