3. I was just speculating with my family about this.   

   Iran is deviding it’s attentions between Jemen terrorist and palastinian terrorists. So tensions in the border region with Iraq is rising. Probably more so after this incident.

7. Lots of people always bitch and moan about how the US presence in Iraq is supposedly destabilizing, but at the end of the day I don’t remember the last time US forces were in an active shootout with any kind of official Iraqi force.
