I’m so anxious for all european leaders to do the same. As an european, I understand the importance of Ukraine winning the war and the moral and ethical responbility we have. We either act soon or the war will met all of us at our doorstep. I hope the political leaders of our nations see this

The French are doing this because they are already in a proxy war in what used to be there former colonies in Africa. The area known as the Sahel region lies just below the Sahara and North of the greener rainforest areas of africa.
Most of the countries stretching right across Africa were former French colonies and in the recent past from around 2020 onwards just about every country has had a military coup and then asked French troops and embassy staff to leave.
These troops have been replaced largely by former Wagner pmc soldiers and most of the military coups have been armed and bank rolled by Russia. There is a really good documentary on youtube which goes into much more depth on the issue as it is also shows the French who generate 60+% of there energy via nuclear power they need to import Uranium which was found in Mali and exported to France supplying about 20% of there Uranium needs and also that France gets a much larger uranium supply from Kazakhstan, so if Russia befriends Mali and can influence the countries leaders and decides after Ukraine war is ended that it wants Kazakhstan back and fully controlled by the Kremlin, they can cripple the French electricity generation by refusing to export Uranium to them.
Macron and his government are know realising this hence the big influx of weapons and armoured vehicles to Ukraine to enable Ukraine to stop Russian offensive acts and to hopefully defeat Russia’s long term ambitions in country. This also helps France in the long run.
