7. A little over 100 years ago we bled, we fought, we became a democracy. Sure we’ve seen our struggles, Türkiye is far from perfect. We have tons of work to do for journalists, in improving education, improving social norms

   However I believe that today the people have spoken out. Showed the world that there’s life after authoritarianism. Let’s strengthen our ties with Europe

8. Is this because turks living abroad like Germany don’t vote on municipal elections? I assume they mostly don’t have a residence in Turkey, or?
