Best of wishes to the turkey, hope this goes well and that you clean your country now from the embedded corruption and layers of erdogans peons
The recent victory of the CHP party in Turkey is a testament to the power of democracy and the voice of the people.
I want all of you to put the word out there that we back up
I’m in a small town. A place for 100k people. but on this day drums are celebrations. It’s like a fan supporting his team. the people were happy. I hope we can achieve this in the presidential election. there is a long time.
Thanks Hoi4 for teaching me what the 6 arrows symbolise. 😀
A little over 100 years ago we bled, we fought, we became a democracy. Sure we’ve seen our struggles, Türkiye is far from perfect. We have tons of work to do for journalists, in improving education, improving social norms
However I believe that today the people have spoken out. Showed the world that there’s life after authoritarianism. Let’s strengthen our ties with Europe
Power to the local dreamer
Is this because turks living abroad like Germany don’t vote on municipal elections? I assume they mostly don’t have a residence in Turkey, or?
Hopefully CHP will keep the momentum until 2028
CHP took Erdogan and wiped the floor with his face lol
but they are suspected of socialist terrorism and being friends with the coup….so their mayors will be replaced by administrative governers chosen by erdogan himself
