Bobak marmots playfully fight in China

A video has captured the playful antics of two bobak marmots engaging in a scuffle in the Anxi Extreme-arid Desert National Nature Reserve in northwest China’s Gansu Province.

The footage, captured by a field camera and recently discovered by the reserve’s staff members, showed that the two chubby and endearing bobak marmots were standing upright, poised for a fight, with their fur fluffed and their tiny paws clenched.

Their surprisingly synchronized movements in the playful tussle resembled a rhythmic and lively performance, reminiscent of either a boxing match or a ballroom dance, creating an amusing sight.
