It sounds the same as “og”, translates to “and”, wich is a conjunction and ties together words, sentences etc..
Isn’t this wrong? Shouldn’t it be “Vær så snill og gjenta adressen.”? Which directly translates to “Be so kind and give me the address” as there isn’t any way to directly translate “please”

In Norwegian we usually use “Å” as in an action. Like “å kjøre en bil” “to drive a car” or “å se på en film” “to watch a movie.”

You can say “versåsnill repeter addressen”
“Versåsnill gjennta addressen”,
Saying “versåsnill å gjennta addressen”, is verbose and wierd.
“Kan du versåsnill gjennta adressen”, is the polite way, and it flows better.
Awkward sentence structure imo.
Most natural and keeping sentence structure would be (imo) to just swap to imperative like: «vær så snill, gjenta adressen»
Else something like «kan du gjenta adressen (igjen)(, vær så snill)?»
I am norwegian so this is a bit awkward, but isn’t it supposed to be “og” if you are binding two statements together like that?
